A. Sigh. Eee.

No, I didn't just sneeze, that's how you pronounce the little Brazilian berry Açai. Health benefits of acai are due to its valuable phytonutrients, especially anthocyanins, in addition to vitamin C, vitamin A and dietary fibre. Some studies show that acai is even richer in protective antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries or the goji berry.  On top of providing many antioxidants just like other varieties of berries do, acai berries are also believed to help control your appetite, increase energy and help with many metabolic functions.

Açai bowls are all the rage at the moment and why wouldn't they be, they look totally Instagramable and taste delicious.  And they're surprisingly filling.  Another bonus - kids LOVE them because they taste like a bowl of chocolate.  You can whip up a beautiful bowl for breaky or dessert, or any meal in between. They're super cheap as well.  You can buy frozen açai from the supermarket. Blend a sachet with water, coconut water, coconut milk, or even a banana. Then just add your favourite toppings - for this bowl I used:

  • Yoghurt

  • Mango

  • Blueberries

  • Strawberries

  • Coconut

  • Seeds

  • Passion fruit

  • Mint

Every small change WILL become the big difference

in your life.
