Why Good Gut Health is VITAL as we age!

I was sitting in a hospital waiting for my son Levi to have his tonsil's inspected, and as I looked around the waiting room, I was really saddened by the number of older people waiting to be seen.

People in their 40's, 50's and above, who have a host of health problems which for the most part a completely preventable, through good gut health.

As a society, unfortunately we think that frailty, illness and disease are an inevitable part of ageing.

The truth is, it doesn't have to be the case! And it's never too late to start taking better care of ourselves and our health!

Check out today's video to find out why good gut health is VITAL as we age!

A study done by the University of Sydney in 2017 found that the 5 most common chronic health issues in Australia are:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • asthma

  • high blood pressure

  • high cholesterol

50% of all Australian's suffer from at least one of these illnesses!

All five chronic illnesses have been linked to poor gut health, and lifestyle factors such as being sedentary, increased stress and poor sleep.

Bu far the easiest change to make, and the one that gives us biggest bang for our buck, is a change of diet.

Increasing our vegetables and reducing our processed / packaged food will give us long reaching health benefits as we age.

Check out the incredible Mark Sisson, 64, founder of The Primal Blueprint (www.marksdailyapple.com/) who is a perfect representation of ageing without any of the modern day illnesses and ailments that plague so many people above 40.

Every small change will become the big difference

in your life.

With so much love,

Katie Jane
